                        Hello everybody. How are you? We hope you are doing well. As we have already said we are going to start solving practical questions from SAS previous year papers.
                       We have solved question number 6 from the Question paper of the Punjab Civil Service Rules of September 2016 in our previous article. Now today we will solve another practical question from the Question paper of the Punjab Civil Service Rules of September 2013.
                        Let's start the question:-

Ques: A Government employee drawing a basic pay of Rs. 8925/- from 1-1-2005 in the pre-revised pay scale of Rs. 5800-9200, was awarded the benefit of one increment and placement in the pay scale of Rs. 6400-10640 under the ACP scheme on 1-5-2006. He was promoted as Section Officer in the pay scale of Rs. 7000-10980 w.e.f 1-9-2006 and opted for the fixation of pay from the date of his next increment. He remained absent from 1-11-2006 to 3-12-2006 and the period has been regularised by sanctioning extra-ordinary leave. He was awarded the penalty of stoppage of two increments with a cumulative effect on 1-3-2007 on being found guilty. The officials opted the revised pay scale w.e.f 1-1-2006 and also drawl of increment under note 1 below rule 7 of Punjab Civil Service (Revised pay rules 2009). Regulate his pay as on 1-2-2013 as per Punjab Civil Service (Revised pay) rules 2009 and instructions issued from time to time.

               Hence the pay of an employee on 01-02-2013 will be 22260+5000 = 27,260/-.
Note: The ACP which was admissible to the government employee w.e.f 01-09-2010 was not given because his two increments (due on 1-2-2008 and 1-2-2009) were withheld with cumulative effect, therefore as per acp instructions 4-9-2012 these two years are not counted for the benefit of ACP. Hence he will be allowed ACP when his two ACR’s out of last three will be considered as good.

  1. Sir, kya Date of Next Increment change nahi hogi kyunki higher hierarchical scale me placement hui h and benefit of more than one increment bhi Mila h?
    So DNI/ NDI 01.05.2007 nahi honi chahiye?

    1. No. Because on placement employee's pay is not fixed at the Initial of pay scale
